Liang Minghu, deputy director of the Health Department of Shanxi Province, said that the immediate conclusion of the new rural cooperative medical system will simplify participation procedures for reconciliation of farmer's accounts and effectively reduce farmers' actual burden. In the future, the participating farmers will be hospitalized at the designated medical institutions at the provincial level of the new rural cooperative medical insurance system. Upon discharge, the hospital will initially review and pay the new rural cooperative compensation fees payable to the farmers according to the compensation plan, and then the hospital and the regional coordinating agency for the new rural cooperative management agency. Settled on a regular basis and realized discharge on the same day.
